시온예배공동체가 47주년을 맞이했습니다. 시온공동체는 구원공동체(예수님과 연합하여 구원받은 하나님의 백성들로 구성된 하나님의 나라)이고, 예배공동체(구원의 은혜를 기억하고 감사하며 회복되는 유기체)로서 존재하여 왔습니다. 구원공동체와 예배공동체로 존재한다고 해도, 어떤 교회는 47년에 이르기 전에 문을 닫고, 어떤 교회는 47년이 지나도 건재합니다. 더욱이, 아무리 열심히 노력해도 문을 닫는 교회가 있고, 아무리 대충 해도 문을 열고 있는 교회가 있지요. 그래서, 우리는 확실히 알게 됩니다; 모든 것이 성삼위 하나님의 뜻이고 은혜라고… 시온의 47년은 그냥 온통 하나님의 은혜라고… 그래서, 우리는 그저, 감사하면 된다고… 감격하면 된다고… 기뻐하면 된다고… 찬양하면 된다고… 기도하면 된다고… 의지하면 된다고… 끝까지… 겸손함으로… 그래서, 시편 46편 10절(… 너희는 가만히 있어 내가 하나님 됨을 알지어다. 내가 뭇 나라 중에서 높임을 받으리라…)의 말씀처럼 우리의 47년의 여정 속 토양과 자양분과 돌봄과 결실하게 하심에서, 우리는 성삼위 하나님의 “하나님 됨”을 알아가는 것이지요. 우리와 연합하셔서 영원히 함께 하시는 예수님의 이름과 성령하나님의 능력을 의지하여 하나님 아버지를 의지하면서 말이지요.
Zion has long existed both as a Community of Salvation—a kingdom of God composed of His people who have been saved through union with Christ—and as a Community of Worship, a living organism that remembers, gives thanks for, and finds restoration in the grace of salvation. Yet, even among churches that exist as communities of salvation and worship, some closed their doors before they reached 47 years, while others stand resilient even after 47 years. Moreover, we see that some churches close despite their utmost efforts, while others remain open with seemingly minimal exertion. Through this, we come to know with absolute certainty: everything is by the will and grace of the Triune God. These 47 years of Zion have been entirely a testament to God’s grace. Therefore, all we must do is simply give thanks… be deeply moved… rejoice… praise… pray… and depend on Him—to the very end, with utter humility. Thus, just as Psalm 46:10 declares, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations…”, we come to know that the Triune God is “the only ultimate GOD” through the soil, nourishment, care, and final harvest of our 47-year journey. And so we go forward, depending on God the Father, by relying on the name of Jesus—who is united with us and remains with us forever—and on the power of God the Holy Spirit.
