유아실 프로젝트가 진행되는 것을 보면서, 성삼위 하나님의 섭리와 일하시는 원리를 재삼 확인할 수 있었습니다. 지난 3월 11일부터 시작된 이 프로젝트는 총 네 개의 분야의 일이 합해져서 이루어지게 되어 있었습니다. 순서적으로 보면, 벽에 새로운 페인트를 칠하고, 바닥에 나무로 틀을 짜서 도드라지게 만들고 그 위에 울타리를 만드는 일, 그리고, 그 위에 카페트를 덮는 일, 마지막으로, 조명과 음향을 설치하는 일입니다. 물론, 어떤 한 사람에 의해서, 이 네 가지 일들이 이루어질 수도 있겠지요. 그러나, 성삼위 하나님께서는, 우리 각자에게 주신 재능과 경험과 열정 등을 사용하게 하셨습니다. 페인트를 꼼꼼하게 칠하시는 분, 나무 틀을 정성스럽게 짜시고 울타리를 만드시는 분, 카페트에는 일가견이 있으신 분, 그리고 조명과 음향을 쫌(?) 아시는 분이 자신의 역할을 담당하시는 순서에 맞추어서, 이 귀한 하나님의 나라의 일에 동참하여 주고 계십니다. 이제 완성을 향해 가고 있지만, 그 함께 만들어 가는 과정에서, 우리 시온을 사랑하시고 불쌍히 여기시는 성삼위 하나님의 신실하시고 신묘막측하신 은혜를 촘촘히 느끼고 있습니다. “너희도 성령 안에서 하나님이 거하실 처소가 되기 위하여 예수 안에서 함께 지어져 가느니라”(엡 2:2)
Witnessing the progress of our Infants’ Room Project, I have once again been able to confirm the providence and working principles of the Triune God. This project, which began on March 11th, was designed to be accomplished through the combined efforts of four distinct areas of work. In terms of the sequence, the tasks included: applying a fresh coat of paint to the walls, framing and elevating the wooden floor base and installing the fencing, laying the carpet over it, and finally, installing the lighting and sound systems. Of course, all four of these tasks could have been completed by a single individual. However, the Triune God chose instead to utilize the unique talents, experiences, and passions He has bestowed upon each of us. From the one who meticulously applied the paint, to the one who carefully framed the wood and built the fence, to the one with specialized expertise in carpeting, and even to the one who knows a thing or two(?) about lighting and sound—each person has participated in this precious work of God’s Kingdom, stepping in according to the proper order of their roles. As we now move toward completion, I am deeply feeling the faithful and wondrous grace of the Triune God, who loves and has compassion for our Zion, throughout this collaborative process. “In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit”(Eph. 2:22 ESV)
